* Remove use of unstable box syntax.Simon Sapin2017-10-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | http://www.robohornet.org gives a score of 101.36 on master, and 102.68 with this PR. The latter is slightly better, but probably within noise level. So it looks like this PR does not affect DOM performance. This is expected since `Box::new` is defined as: ```rust impl<T> Box<T> { #[inline(always)] pub fn new(x: T) -> Box<T> { box x } } ``` With inlining, it should compile to the same as box syntax.
* Rename Root<T> to DomRoot<T>Anthony Ramine2017-09-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | In a later PR, DomRoot<T> will become a type alias of Root<Dom<T>>, where Root<T> will be able to handle all the things that need to be rooted that have a stable traceable address that doesn't move for the whole lifetime of the root. Stay tuned.

* Replaced DOMString constructor by conversion functions.Alan Jeffrey2015-11-121-1/+1
| | | | | | Replaced DOMString(...) by DOMString::from(...). Replaced ....0 by String::from(...). Removed any uses of .to_owner() in DOMString::from("...").
* Make DOMString a newtype around String, rather than a typedef.Ms2ger2015-11-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This should make it somewhat easier to experiment with alternative representations in the future. To reduce churn, this commit leaves the String field public, though. Also, this will allow us to use the default String type to represent the IDL USVString type, which explicitly forbids unpaired surrogates, ans as such is a better match to the Rust String type.

* Update URL-related interfaces and their tests up to specAnthony Ramine2015-10-191-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | The URL spec recently changed and the variour "mixins" interfaces are gone, this commit updates our code and WPT accordingly. The new expected failures related to HTMLAnchorElement and HTMLAreaElement's attributes are due to their moving to the HTMLHyperLinkElementUtils interface, which is not anymore in a separate <script class=untested> element.

* Don't link to specific WHATWG multipage pageCorey Farwell2015-04-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | "Links to the multipage version of the specification are unfortunately likely to break over time." -- https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/asefij.html This commit removes all references to the specific pages when viewing WHATWG using multipage mode. I went through all these links and they redirect fine. Regex used to generate this commit: `s_whatwg.org/multipage/.*#_whatwg.org/multipage/#_g`

* Import the util crate as util rather than servo_util.Ms2ger2015-01-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This used to conflict with the util crate from the standard library, which has long since been removed. The import in layout has not been changed because of a conflict with the util mod there.

* Share code between Navigator and WorkerNavigatorGilles Leblanc2014-09-201-11/+4
| | | | | | | Also shares code between Location and WorkerLocation. This has been done by introducing NavigatorInfo and UrlHelper. Fixes #3159
* Reintroduce Untraceable<T>.deref_mut() to make mem::replace() possible to ↵Tetsuharu OHZEKI2014-09-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | Untracebale<T> field. Some compile errors caused by the compiler's misreading comes back again :( We re-use `deref()`explicitly to hide these errors.
* First steps of &JSRef -> JSRef conversionCameron Zwarich2014-09-191-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Replace &JSRef with JSRef in the bulk of the generated code. This will remove a level of indirection throughout all DOM code. This patch doesn't change methods implemented on JSRef<T> to take `self` rather than `&self`, and it leaves a few other uses of &JSRef, but those changes can be made incrementally.
